CSR-1 Registration
Register your NGO to receive CSR funding. Mandatory for NGOs, Section 8 Companies, Trusts, and Societies to participate in corporate social responsibility projects.
What is CSR-1?
CSR-1 is an online registration form introduced by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) for entities intending to undertake CSR activities on behalf of companies.
Once approved, the organization receives a unique CSR Registration Number, making it eligible to receive CSR grants and funding from eligible companies. The registration also helps the government monitor the transparency and authenticity of NGOs engaged in CSR activities.
Which Companies are Required to Spend on CSR?
Under the Companies Act, 2013, eligible companies are required to spend 2% of their average net profits on CSR activities. As per Section 135, CSR provisions apply to companies having:
- Net Worth of ₹500 Crore or more
- Turnover of ₹1,000 Crore or more
- Net Profit of ₹5 Crore or more
These companies can undertake CSR activities directly or through eligible registered NGOs and implementing agencies. Only organizations registered through Form CSR-1 can participate in these CSR projects.
